Summer Gardens

You know summer is at its peak when petunias are in full bloom and putting on their best show. They are so beautiful! Perennial gardens are the best when it comes to landscape planning for budget, but it’s always nice to add some splashes of vibrant color to the mix. From the Annuals, Petunias are by far my favorite to do just that! I add them to edges of side flower gardens by hostas and lilies or on the curb sides next to evergreen bushes.

Petunias are so generous and they thrive in sunny spots. This is great for Colorado since we get a lot of sun all year round but especially in the summer!

Keep beautiful color plants around. They’re great for the spirit! They’re inviting and welcoming always.

Caring for your Lawn

Lawn Care

Even though it may seem daunting, lawn repair is key to maintaining your yard looking its best. Everyone loves very green lawn! If you have lawn patches there are easy ways to make those areas better. Keep in mind that the best time to do this is in the Spring when temperatures are perfect for your yard, not hot and definitely not winter-cold. Visit your favorite garden center and ask for recommendations of which lawn seeds to use. Start by applying the lawn seeds to cover some areas that have patches with burnt grass or no lawn grass at all. As said earlier, doing this work in the spring is much better since the temperature is much nicer and rain helps with watering and humidity. Watering is key after applying seeds and if you don’t get a lot of rain in your area then remember to water water water where you applied the seeds. Read seed package labels and follow instructions also. Types of grass seeds vary. Comment with any questions. I’ll be happy to answer.
